More About Coach Martin
I have over 10 years of experience coaching and training athletes in speed, agility, strength, and conditioning. I currently serve as the head varsity football coach and girls flag football coach in Northern New Jersey, while also working as a physical education, health, driver’s education, and CPR instructor.
I have coached middle school and high school athletes, typically ages 13–18, with a focus on sprint mechanics, acceleration, change of direction, footwork, explosiveness, conditioning, and overall athletic performance. My background includes football, girls flag football, track and field, volleyball, and offseason athlete development programs.
I also regularly attend coaching clinics and professional development events to stay current on training methods, athlete development, and performance training.
I was an all-county athlete in multiple sports during high school, including football, volleyball, and track and field. I continued to stay involved in athletics through strength training, endurance events, and combat sports training, including completing a marathon, half marathon, triathlons, and HYROX events,
A client can expect a structured, high-energy session focused on technique, effort, and measurable improvement. Every session begins with a dynamic warm-up, movement prep, and mobility work to reduce injury risk and get the athlete ready to train.
From there, sessions are built around the athlete’s goals. Football and flag football athletes can expect position-specific drills, footwork, speed and agility work, change of direction, reaction drills, tackling or blocking fundamentals, route running, throwing mechanics, and game-like competition. Strength and conditioning sessions typically include explosive movements, strength work, conditioning, core training, and recovery.
I focus heavily on proper technique, attention to detail, and building confidence. I like to coach with energy, keep athletes moving, and make sure they understand why they are doing each drill so that every session has a purpose.
