I am a USATF and RRCA-certified running coach and NASM-certified personal trainer with a lifetime of running experience and several years of coaching clients for groups such as Team Challenge as well as individuals who want to get fit, improve performance and or build endurance. I’ve coached NYC Marathon runners, NYPD officers, and beginning runners. Please note I coach in Brooklyn. I can sometimes coach in Manhattan for an additional fee due to travel time.

I competed in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track throughout college. I competed in the NYC Marathon and Brooklyn Half Marathon. I’ve completed many obstacle course races as well. I now lead my own running group based in Brooklyn as well as train clients privately. I have a background in strength training and personal training as well so can suggest workouts for strength training to improve running performance and also offer personal training options.

I offer everything you need to advance as a runner and athlete by covering training topics such as staying motivated, race strategies, mental training, gait analysis, and more. In a session, I lead the client through a series of stretches and then a workout designed to suit their goals. I often do speed workouts with coaching clients. I can also offer strength training insights as I am a personal trainer as well. Off the field, I offer visualization exercises for mental training, nutrition help, and a training plan with workouts to follow each week.

** All coaching clients must have proof of covid-19 vaccination.**

Must give at least 24 hours notice of cancellation- less notice will be charged the full session rate. All unused sessions expire within 2 months.

I'm still just getting started, but Marnie wrote a plan for me to get through my two half marathons over 6 six weeks.
She explained it clearly and simply and guided me on how to alter or adjust based on scheduling changes, life, etc. i definitely am more conscious of my pace and how I am feeling. I look forward to working with her on my marathon training plan.

Coach Marnie was excellent ! She took the time to meet with me on a short notice. I was looking for a coach to help me with any new techniques to speed up my pace for a marathon.
Well this coach knows running! After running a few laps with me she provided a running plan and suggested a better pace for running the marathon. She gave pointers on warm ups, stretching & exercise techniques to make me stronger.
Running with coach Marnie was very motivating and also fun! Definitely will run with her again.

Coach Marnie is excellent. She runs alongside you and also watches you from a distance/video tapes you so that you can see your form. She comments on adjustments needed (like knees up or arm swings), and also creates a plan for you to follow during the week when you are not training with her.

She is also very patient. I have not exercised in months and completely out of breath when I run, and had to stop a lot. She encouraged me to keep going without making me feel embarrassed for stopping.

She also leads classes and is very experienced and knowledgeable about running. I felt comfortable with her immediately. Thanks, Marnie!
