More About Coach Mark

As a former Division II collegiate pitcher for the Holy Names University Hawks in the competitive PacWest Conference. I’ve had the privilege of coaching athletes from freshman to senior level, including serving as Head Coach at El Camino High School in California and working as a pitching coach in a talent-rich Palo Alto summer league that helped several players advance to college ball. I’ve also coached at the University of San Francisco’s summer camps for the USF Dons, helping younger players develop a love for the game and a strong foundation.

Mechanically, I approach pitching through a lens of simplicity and physics—one motion flows into the next. I work with athletes on refining mechanics, increasing endurance, and improving control. Through structured training plans, including weighted ball programs and advanced grip work, I help pitchers increase velocity and stay unpredictable on the mound.

Most valuable pitcher in the Joe Dimaggio World Series in a fourth of July tournament in Yountville, California. Appointed captain of my college baseball team. I earned a scholarship after competing at one of California’s top junior colleges and was honored as a team captain and PacWest All-Academic athlete. A left-handed pitcher by trade, I believe the foundation of success on the mound begins with the mind. My coaching philosophy is centered around discipline, consistency, and a growth mindset.

A client can expect me to have a great knowledge for the game. Baseball is a mental game as well as physical, I will be able to teach the player how to physically and mentally prepare to become the best player possible as well as teach life lessons. The first training session would be basic so I can evaluate the client and see where the player needs the most work, I will formulate a plan from there.

Client Reviews

Coach Mark is working with my son on his hitting and doing a great job talking to him and giving him tips during their work out. We are happy with our sessions with him.

We have had a great experience with coach Mark. He has been helping our son with pitching and hitting and we are already seeing great results. We just had a club game today and my sons hitting was great! The best part is that my son really enjoys his sessions with Mark.

My 8 year old son really enjoyed his work with Coach Mark. He was a little nervous before the practice but now can't wait to work with Mark again.

My son is 10 years old and he just had his first session with Coach Mark..... it was awesome. He came away from the session happy, motivated and feeling more confident. We're both looking forward to the next one!

Coach Mark was great with my kids. They are very different kids with different skill levels, he found a way to work with them both and teach them a lot. He was very patient and obviously knows a ton about baseball! The boys are feeling more confident about pitching and excited to have their next lesson. Thank you!

Mark has an incredible amount of knowledge and love for the game of baseball. Playing along side him for the Holy Names University Hawks he was able to teach me a lot when I came in as a Freshman, him being one of the older guys, I turned to him as a leader and he helped me learn a lot during my freshman year of college baseball
Guys seem to gravitate and soak up a lot of knowledge from Mark. While coaching him at Holy Names University, he was a great help when I couldn't make it out to practice, he would have the pitchers working hard without me on the diamond. He has a variety of drills that would help players of all ages looking to have success playing baseball. He is patient and understanding of the process that it takes to form success.
