More About Coach Mark
Experienced basketball coach with high school, youth, and private training experience. Coached at Kingswood Oxford (HS), led K–2 & 5/6 youth rec teams, and trained middle/high school athletes in small group and 1-on-1 sessions. Specializes in skill development, fundamentals, and building player confidence.
Over 20 years of basketball experience; played Division III at Emmanuel College–Boston; varsity leader at Kingswood Oxford, helping shape the foundation for future program success.
Each session begins with dynamic agility work using ladders, resistance bands, and jump ropes to activate the body and improve foot speed, coordination, and overall quickness. From there, we move into focused ball handling and form shooting drills to sharpen control, rhythm, and shot mechanics.
The main portion of the session includes position-specific, game-like scenarios designed to simulate real in-game decisions—emphasizing footwork, finishing through contact, shooting off the dribble, and making reads under pressure. Sessions are tailored to the athlete’s skill level and goals.
We finish with light conditioning and a brief reflection to reinforce lessons and build confidence. The goal is always to improve areas that translate directly to game performance while instilling a mindset of growth and discipline. Players can expect a high-energy, detail-oriented workout that challenges them to leave every session better than they arrived—both on and off the court.
