More About Coach Marcus

Throughout my varied experiences playing and coaching basketball, I have learned the significance and importance of developing individual skills. Unfortunately, most young players do not spend the amount of time necessary to improve these skills. My advanced skills and basketball principles will help young players take their game to the next level. I was fortunate to start playing basketball at the age of 6, played high school basketball and coached my first team as a Sophomore in high school were a lead 7th and 8th grade teams to "back to back" championships. From there I Coached and Directed a Jr. Warriors Basketball Program here in Pittsburg were we mentored, trained and coached over two thousand boys and girls. I am currently the Assistant Head Boys Varsity Coach at Pittsburg High School. I'm excited about the prospect of working with your child and providing them with the skills and habits necessary to fulfill their potential.

Earned DFAL All League as a Jr. in High School, coached "back to back" championship teams. Have trained and developed over 500 young athletes and mentored them on and off the court. Coached and Directed the Jr. Warriors Basketball Program for 4 years and I'm currently in my 3rd. year as the Assistant Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach and Director of Player Development at Pittsburg High School.

My basketball program dedicated to improving "next level" basketball players on and off the court. They will learn how to effectively handle the ball, strengthen there passing, offensive moves with the ball, shooting on the move, shooting off the dribble, increasing speed of shot, quickness and agility, movement without the ball, screens, reading and using, developing your week hand, physical development, improving your basketball I.Q. & situation One vs. One drills.

First session, as a parent I was impressed with the sense of dedication I got at the introductory session. He encourages the kids training under him to look at the positives in every situation. My son wants to keep going to this sessions and he can give his review but so far he likes the coach and his method.

Coach Marcus has been a wonderful one on one trainer for my 11 year old son. He has helped build his confidence and taught him skills he can use when he plays on his club team. He has also helped him with his shooting accuracy and his stamina and quickness. My son really enjoys coming to his trainings and coach Marcus has developed a positive relationship with him in just a couple of months. Coach Marcus' positive approach to matching a workout to improve skill and focus is amazing.
