A typical session with me consists of at first assessing the physical and mental condition of the athlete. Once that has been established, the focus is to give the athlete a balanced combination of drills and stretches that aid in correcting technique for the practice, followed by a strength endurance practice ( other days it will be speed endurance training) , proceeded with strength circuits that aim on correcting weak muscles with a strong focus on hip-flexor, abdominal, and back strength. Creating a strong core, a stable center is one of the most important focuses an athlete must have in order to be able to establish a foundation for proper technique. Along with strength having a strong endurance base will enable one to endure during practices that become more intense and when speed is introduced in the season. Along with the physical part of training, running and performance is also about maintaining a positive attitude and outlook and sometimes it may be necessary to get the athlete to get into the habit of visualization in order to execute areas that they are having difficulty achieving.
