More About Coach Madilynn

My love of coaching started in high school when I took a job coaching gymnastics. I coached girls my age and younger. This job was to help pay for my high school lacrosse gear! I went on to play lacrosse in college and though I never had an official coaching job in those years, my team frequently hosted camps and trainings where I coached girls high school age and younger. Since graduating in 2012, I have coached many girls lacrosse teams including a junior high club team, a high school club team, a high school JV team, and a high school varsity team. I can't get enough!

I started playing lacrosse in high school and went on to play four years of lacrosse at Brigham Young University. While playing at BYU, our team got up to number 3 (out of over 200 teams) on the charts in our division! My first year coaching high school, I was head JV coach and assistant varsity. JV won the tournament and varsity got second in state.

I believe the better your fundamentals are, the better all-around player you are. Catching, passing, ground balls, speed, agility, and strength are the skills I focus on when I first start coaching any athlete or team. When these skills are solid, I love moving on to more narrow and specialized training. I can coach (because I have played) every position and the specifics that come along with the position, with the exclusion of goalie.

Client Reviews

Coach Madi is awesome! Each session, she arrives positive and prepared. Although her lessons are well-structured, she doesn’t hesitate to spend more or less time on certain concepts depending on how confident I am executing those skills. She is very knowledgeable and I can tell she cares a lot about me and my success. I love having sessions with Coach Madi and have learned so much, highly recommend her!

Coach Madi was great. She knew how to engage my daughter Sarah (14). Sarah learned a lot and will be looking to schedule another time.

Madilyn did a great job introducing the fundamentals of LaCrosse to my son. He is excited about his next game after this class.

Coach Madilynn is great! She is well prepared and positive. My daughter enjoys her lacrosse sessions and is learning a lot.

Great first lesson. She knew we had to prepare for an upcoming camp and took extra time to prepare. Highly recommend.
