More About Coach Luke

With a lifelong passion for sports and fitness, I bring a wealth of experience to coaching and training athletes of all levels. As a dedicated athlete myself, I earned my black belt in karate over a decade ago and continue to refine my skills, which has fueled my love for diverse fitness disciplines, including HIIT, boxing, kickboxing, mountain biking, and indoor cycling. I’ve also pushed my own physical and mental limits by completing half marathons and multiple Spartan Races (Beast, Sprint, and Super), reinforcing my belief in perseverance and resilience.
Having played soccer throughout my life, I transitioned into coaching and spent several years with AYSO, where I developed athletes across various age groups (including my own kids). Now, I work with athletes aged 10 and up, designing training programs tailored to their unique goals and abilities.
My true passion lies in helping others unlock their full potential—whether on the field, in the gym, or in life. I’m committed to building a stronger, healthier, and more confident generation by instilling discipline, strength, and a lifelong love for fitness.

I have a diverse athletic background, beginning with earning my black belt in karate over a decade ago. I also competed in several local karate events, further honing my skills in discipline and technique. Beyond martial arts, I’ve challenged myself through endurance sports, completing multiple races, including half marathons and Spartan Races (Beast, Sprint, and Super), which tested both my physical and mental resilience.
In addition to my personal athletic achievements, I have several years of experience coaching soccer, working with athletes across various age groups to develop their skills, confidence, and overall athletic performance. While I didn’t compete at the collegiate or professional level, my lifelong dedication to sports, training, and coaching has shaped my approach to helping others achieve their fitness and athletic goals.

A typical session with me is dynamic, goal-oriented, and tailored to the athlete’s specific needs, whether they’re looking to improve strength, endurance, agility, or sport-specific skills. I begin with a structured warm-up to activate key muscle groups and prevent injuries, incorporating mobility work, dynamic stretching, and sport-specific movements.

For soccer athletes, I focus on technical drills such as ball control, passing accuracy, dribbling, and shooting, combined with agility exercises to enhance speed, footwork, and reaction time. I also integrate conditioning drills to build endurance and overall athletic performance.

For general fitness and multi-sport athletes, sessions may include strength and resistance training, HIIT circuits, boxing/kickboxing drills, or functional movement exercises, depending on the client’s goals. I emphasize proper form, injury prevention, and mental resilience, ensuring each session is both challenging and rewarding.

Every session ends with a cool-down, stretching, and a brief recap to track progress and set new targets. My approach is not just about physical improvement but also building confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for movement and fitness.
