More About Coach Luke
Improving a Player’s Overall Skills and Mindsets so they Experience “Real-Game Results”— Play More, Score More, Make the Team, Start on the Team, Earn a Division 1 College Basketball Scholarship...or even Play Professionally.
This is my motivation.
I can do this because...I’ve played on all levels (High School, College, Professional) and learned the most important details that make the biggest difference—in the shortest period of time.
Because I’m short, from the suburbs, and cannot dunk a basketball—I had to learn to maximize my potential through training, studying the game, and playing experience.
(It also gave me an edge to have a professional coach, my father, teach me the correct fundamentals...I was ahead of the other players at an early age).
I now understand, recognize, and can communicate clearly the necessary basketball skills and mindsets needed all the way up to the highest level.
Competing against players like—Jamal Crawford, Dennis Rodman, Andre Miller, and playing with 7-year NBA veteran Eddie Gill—you learn the hard way of what it takes to play basketball at the highest level.
I know the critical techniques, skills, mental toughness, and love needed to achieve the big goals...and at what stage a player needs have them to attain their goals.
I can recognize when a player is making a slight mistake on a skill (shooting, ball-handling, etc) and transform the skill into a strength.
Today, I estimate over 90% of players are NOT focusing on the right skills and leaving their basketball potential behind.
BSV Wulfen (German Professional League):
- Awarded Top 3 Point Guard All-Time in Club History
- Set League Record for Most Consecutive Games with a 3-Point Field Goal
- Career High 43 points (11, 3-Point Field Goals)
Weber State University:
- Led the Team in 3-point Field Goal Percentage in 1997-98 (43%)
- Tied School Record for Most Consecutive 3-Point Field Goals Made in a Game (5)
- Big Sky Champions | Beat North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament
Crystal Lake Central High School:
- Illinois All-State
- Led the Team to the Best Record in School History (28-2)
- #6 Greatest Player of All-Time in Fox Valley Conference
My training style is very straight-forward. I’m not a “screamer” or “yeller”, but I will tell a player exactly what to work on and why...it’s up to the player to follow-through outside the training.
Because every player is different—I’ll start by correcting the biggest problem or challenge the player is immediately facing.
Once the challenge is solved, we’ll focus on the player’s goals—maximizing potential though skills, techniques, drills, and basketball mindsets, specifically designed for the individual player.
Also, I have built a gym specifically designed for basketball training in Princeton, TX (see photos). It is great for video analyzing a player's technique and improving it to become more efficient and effective. There is a $15 extra fee for the use of the gym, but it is worth it. Otherwise, I train outside at the Bolin Park Courts in Allen or at Lifetime Allen, if you have a membership. I look forward to getting started!

Has been fantastic with my son. Is extremely patient as they learn good habits and break bad ones. Has a great balance of encouraging and tough when it warrants. Excited to see how my son progresses as we continue with training. He already has improved and gained way more confidence.

My son is the shooting guard for our middle school 8th grade A team. While skilled in taking and making shots, he really needed to become more versatile on the court — improving his basketball IQ and improving ball-handling capabilities. Upon our initial lesson, Coach Luke immediately identified his strengths and weaknesses. His approach is encouraging and firm, which has been the key in motivating our son to work hard at each lesson. My favorite thing about the lessons so far is Coach Luke’s philosophy about training: if you aren’t uncomfortable while practicing, you’ll never improve. This rings so true for our son. He will spend hours outside in the driveway, practicing the same shots, drills, layups, etc, but never attempting something he’s never done before—never pushing past his comfort zone. Coach Luke has not only broadened his physical basketball skills in four lessons, but transformed his basketball mindset as well!

We booked 4 sessions with Coach Luke for my 11 year old this summer. We wanted a coach that would work on technical skills, not just shoot hoops with. Coach Luke was really great with him, firm, but very positive and encouraging. My son really enjoyed working with him and he came away with some invaluable basketball skills.
Dave (CoachUp client)
Coach Luke is excellent. My son received really helpful coaching in his first session with Luke. From assessing his ball handling strengths and weaknesses, giving suggestions to improve, to analyzing and vastly improving his shot mechanics all in the first hour working with Luke. Gave us plenty to work on at home. Looking forward to continuing to work with Coach Luke.

Our son really enjoyed his first session with Coach Luke, and he’s looking forward to more. He spent time working on shooting drills, and with a minor adjustment on our son’s form, he’s regaining his confidence and is hitting more shots. As a parent, Luke is a great communicator and called in advance of the session and made us very comfortable.

A++ experience for my twin boys with this coach. He is solid across the board....teaching fundementals, teaching explosiveness, shooting form, dribbling and game concepts.
Brandy (CoachUp client)
Coach Luke is a great coach. We had him train both of our sons. They each gave him 5 stars and said they loved their time with him. We are looking forward to more training sessions. Even with one session we are able to change some of our drills and implement what Luke taught the boys. Highly recommend.

In our first session, coach Luke was able to identify a few weaknesses I had and give me drills to improve them. Other drills we did seemed relevant and should translate to the court really well. I really liked the guidance and will keep at it.

Coach Luke was awesome hands on and noticing the little things right away. He was active and very attentive to all the details we wanted to focus on and my daughter already says she feels more comfortable after one lesson with him. Can't wait until we get more scheduled because he is a Coach we will be sticking with for a while. Thanks again, Coach Luke!

Coach Luke is very effective. He is adept at seeing flaws, and he immediately gives strong feedback that the player responds to. With his history of outworking the competition at every aspect of basketball training, he is exceptional at about all aspects of drills, dribbling, and shooting. Cathy / Parent of 4th & 8th Grader (Testimonial)
For My 8th Grader... Our son's game needed to evolve if he wanted to continue to be successful by the time he got to high school. That's why we sought out Coach Condill...and we are thrilled that we did! Coach Condill was able to help our son move to the next level without destroying his confidence. The coach has worked on every aspect of our son's game and made it better. The training sessions are hard work, but the results are immediately discernible. Our son asks to go work with the coach. He's also motivated to practice on his own, knowing the coach will notice and appreciate the extra work. We've been in basketball for a long time, and Coach Condill is quite simply the best coach we've encountered. For My 4th Grader... We have a young player with size and strength. Coach Condill taught him how to translate his skills and abilities into effective basketball play. Once he started with the coach, it was incredible how quickly we saw results. After just a few sessions, our son's shot was completely transformed. He now practices with the proper technique and gets better all the time. Even the coaches on his school team commented on the difference. Best of all, our son loves basketball more and more, agreeing to practice on his own to improve.
Zach / Loras College (Testimonial)
I started training with Luke in high school. I was a developing player with size and I knew I had to improve my offense. I was not aware of the different up-tempo drills and techniques used in his training, and working on these specific things helped me to be a more dynamic player. I Earned a Four Year College Basketball Scholarship and I continually used Luke’s drills and techniques to develop my game. I become a threat on offense not only with a jump shot but with the ability to drive as well. I started to develop a scoring mentality that didn’t let up; I was finally that player on offense that always needed a defender on him that had to play me straight up without being able to identify my weaknesses.
Shane / Tulsa University (Testimonial)
I was fortunate enough to able to workout with Luke in the summer's and it was in those focused, intense workouts that I was able to earn a scholarship at the Division One Level. He prepared me both mentally and physically and pushed me to maximize my potential. Luke is a basketball innovator that is always looking for what's next and how he can better himself and those he is working with. The skills, drills, and techniques, Luke teaches are cutting edge and certainly gave me an advantage heading back to competition each year. I feel very privileged to have been able to workout with Luke and owe a lot of my success to him.
