More About Coach Lauren

I am Founder and Administration of Clem's Advanced Goalkeeper and Striker Camp in Michigan (2014-2019), Youth Club Coach for SkoMor and Scottish Soccer Academy in Illinois (2016-2018), Private Goalkeeper Instructor - all ages and levels (2013-Present), Camp Counselor and Trainer at Northwestern University Summer Camps. I work with all ages and all positions, but specialize in Goalkeepers, Defenders, and Strikers. I have a passion for playing and improving my own game which allows me to reach out to help others do the same.

I am a current Professional Soccer Player, was on the preseason trial roster for the 2019 NWSL Washington Spirit, and am a former D1 Goalkeeper from Northwestern Women's soccer. I played professionally in Sweden where I was a starter and held 4 shutouts in 6 games. In my collegiate career, I was an NSCAA All-American and Scholar All-American, as well as Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year in 2016. I hold the 3rd All-Time NCAA record for Career Shutouts with 48. My team nominated me for captain and I pride myself in leadership and cohesion in order to find success.

I form sessions around learning proper technique and developing grit. Each session is planned out to follow a 6-10 session program where we advance in skills each time we meet. We will cover everything from dynamic warmups, catching, diving, shot-stopping, distribution, game-like situations, and proper decision making. Each category can be broken down further to understand basic techniques, diving forms, tactical awareness, and we can branch off to agility and fitness as well. This is great for injury prevention and for education - you can take these skills with you into your future athletic careers. I majored in Psychology so I try to focus on not only correct and safe technique but also the mental toughness and physical grit required to play such a demanding sport. We have fun but work hard to make each session worthwhile.

We're so happy we found Coach Lauren. She was fantastic with my 10-yr old son from the minute she met the both of us. She took time to get to know him and assess his needs both physically and mentally for the game. I have a ton of respect for any coach that does the drills with those they are coaching, and explains the process so that the student understands and can apply. I saw a huge improvement in my sons skill-set in the time we were together and he was enthusiastic about the homework she gave him for when we meet again. If you're looking for a coach that will craft a training session to meet your child's needs for improvement and have some fun in the process, I would 100% recommend Coach Lauren!

Great great GREAT! My son has worked with her for 4 years and he has become quite the keeper AND striker. It is interesting to see how much knowledge she has about both positions. My son knows the specific angles and tricks to beating the keeper as a forward, as well as predict and react quick to a striker's shot!
Lauren is an absolutely WONDERFUL Coach. I have worked with her for a few years and she really prepared me for high school soccer. She not only helped me with the technical and physical side of the game, but she taught me how to outsmart my opponents and stay mentally tough.
