More About Coach Kyle
I have experience coaching and training baseball players through private instruction and team settings. I currently provide private lessons to high school athletes as well as youth players, focusing on individual development, mechanics, and game understanding. I have also coached at the travel baseball level, working with 11U and 12U teams, where I emphasized fundamentals, situational awareness, and confidence building. I typically work with athletes ages 7–18 and tailor each session to the athlete’s position, skill level, and goals. My coaching style is detail-oriented, structured, and centered on long-term player development.
I played collegiate baseball at the NCAA Division III level and competed against high-level regional competition. I have experience at multiple defensive positions, including catcher, shortstop, and outfield, which allows me to coach players across a wide range of positions. My playing background gave me a strong foundation in fundamentals, situational baseball, and mental preparation. Competing at the collegiate level helped shape my understanding of player development, work ethic, and how to prepare athletes for the next level.
A typical session begins with a dynamic warm-up focused on mobility, balance, and arm care. I assess the athlete’s current mechanics before moving into targeted drills specific to their position and needs. Sessions may include throwing progressions, defensive footwork, glove work, hitting drills, and situational reps. I focus on efficient movement patterns, balance, and repeatable mechanics. Each session ends with competitive reps and a clear takeaway so the athlete knows exactly what to work on between lessons.
