More About Coach Kristina

I continued my education at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and began my coaching career there. I led AAU teams affiliated with NISD and SAISD, including coaching elementary co-ed, middle school girls, and varsity girls teams.
After college, I took on the role of Head Girls Varsity Coach at IDEA Walzem, where I led the team to its first regional championship in 2018 during my inaugural year. Currently, I serve as the head coach for the girls' basketball program for 6th through 12th grades and also hold the position of Middle School Athletic Director. With seven years of coaching experience, I am deeply committed to developing young athletes and fostering a strong sports program.

I attended Holmes High School in San Antonio, where I played basketball throughout my high school years. During college, I also played semi-professional women’s tackle football for the San Antonio Regulators in the IWFL for three years.

All sessions and drills will be tailored to each individual's skill level and needs. The session will start with a dynamic warm-up and stretching to get everyone ready and flexible. Next, we’ll move into drills that combine skill work with conditioning, helping players build endurance while improving their techniques. We'll then focus on ball handling, defense, shooting, and finishing, using game-like situations to better prepare players for real game scenarios. We’ll wrap up with competitive drills to test all the skills we’ve worked on, putting them into practice in high-pressure situations.
