More About Coach Kobe
I currently coach varsity high school basketball and have extensive experience providing private basketball training to athletes of all ages and skill levels. I work with many clients, ranging from young beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced athletes preparing for competitive basketball.
My training focuses on shooting, ball handling, footwork, finishing, defense, conditioning, basketball IQ, confidence, and game-specific development. I customize every session around the athlete’s age, ability, position, and individual goals.
I have played basketball since I was five years old, earned MVP and All-League honors in high school, and played collegiate basketball at La Sierra University. I have also trained and competed in high-level workouts and open runs with professional and Division I players. As both a varsity coach and classroom teacher, I know how to communicate effectively, motivate athletes, and create structured workouts that are challenging, encouraging, and enjoyable.
I have played basketball since the age of five. In high school, I earned MVP and All-League honors for my performance and leadership on the court.
I went on to compete at the collegiate level at La Sierra University, where I played college basketball. Throughout my playing career, I have also participated in high-level workouts and competitive open runs alongside professional and Division I athletes, which helped further develop my skills and understanding of the game.
Each session begins with a dynamic warm up and ball handling drills. We then focus on shooting, footwork, finishing, defense, and other skills based on the athlete’s needs. I use game speed drills to help those skills translate into real competition. Sessions may also include conditioning, basketball IQ, and position specific training. I finish by giving personalized feedback and explaining what the athlete should continue practicing.
