More About Coach Kevin
I am a USA Track & Field certified coach that has worked with athletes of all ages (7-80).
I have worked at an introductory level with youth programs, developed many high school state champions, spent time coaching at Middlebury College, and I've even helped with masters level athletes that are setting world records.
My most recent coaching endeavors are working with jumpers at Middlebury College and through Sprinticity, a speed development program that I co-founded.

A typical session will start off with a conversation. I take a whole person approach so I want to check in to see how you are doing physically, mentally, and emotionally. We will then transition into a dynamic warm-up that increases in intensity and range of motion with certain drills that help to address mechanics. I demonstrate when necessary and continue observing the athlete to match up the information gathered from our conversation with what the athlete is presenting to me through his/her movements. This is all taken into account and upon completion of the warm-up, I explain the workout including the purpose of the workout and key points of emphasis. I always open up the opportunity for my athletes to ask questions about any part of the session. The workout is then conducted under close supervision and sometimes video recorded, especially during technical sessions. The specified workout is just a guideline and can be adjusted based on how an athlete is performing on a given day. It is always followed by a cool down and debrief.
