My name is Kenny Lewis, I bring a wealth of experience to the table as a basketball and weight trainer & personal skills trainer working with from young teens to overseas & NBA professional basketball players, backed by five years of coaching at Orange Lutheran High School. Beyond the court, I’ve had the privilege of coaching an Adidas national team led by the talented Jalen Green. With a focus on player and personnel development, I’m dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential.

I accomplished my dream of playing college basketball at the University of La Sierra, where I had an outstanding career. With achievements in obtaining MVP of my conference & team, while also having an historical record breaking the school's 3 point record.

In a typical session with me, clients can expect a comprehensive and personalized approach to basketball training. Here's a breakdown of what they can anticipate:

Assessment and Goal Setting: We begin each session with an assessment of the athlete's current skills, strengths, weaknesses, and goals. This helps us tailor the session to their specific needs and aspirations.

Warm-Up: We start with a dynamic warm-up routine to prepare the body for the physical demands of the session and reduce the risk of injury. This might include jogging, dynamic stretching, and agility drills.

Skill Development: Depending on the client's objectives, we focus on various aspects of basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, footwork, and conditioning. I design drills and exercises that target areas needing improvement while also honing existing strengths.

Technique Refinement: Throughout the session, I emphasize proper technique and form to ensure the client develops sound fundamentals. This includes foot placement, hand positioning, body balance, and shot mechanics.

Game Situations and Decision Making: We simulate game scenarios to help the athlete understand how to apply their skills in real-game situations. This involves working on reading defenses, making split-second decisions, and improving overall basketball IQ.

Feedback and Correction: I provide continuous feedback and correction throughout the session to help the athlete understand areas for improvement and reinforce positive habits.

Cool Down and Reflection: We conclude each session with a cool-down period to aid in recovery and prevent muscle soreness. Additionally, we take time to reflect on the session, discuss progress, and set goals for future training sessions.
