Session plans will depend on the goals of the client. I mainly work with clients who are generally looking to improve their overall fitness through resistance training and cardio exercising, but each client comes to me with a different starting point and with different end goals.
Most workouts will consist of a warmup (static and active flexibility work, light cardio), resistance training (free weights, machines, body weight), and a cool-down (Flexibility work, potentially light cardio). For certain athletes, there may be plyometrics work, or sport-specific training as it makes sense for the athlete's goals.
Each workout is tailored specifically to the athlete's goals and their experience. Whether your goal is to get fitter, stronger, faster, lose weight, or win a race, there is a specific plan for you.
