As a former Indiana High School Cross-Country State Champion and a professional triathlete from 2011 to 2014, I've had the privilege of experiencing the world of athletics from both sides of the track. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Butler University in 2011, I then went on to become a 4-time All-Region finisher in Cross-Country and Track, a 3-time National finalist in Cross-Country, and an 11-time Conference title winner in Cross-Country and Track.
My journey continued as I was selected for USA Triathlon’s Collegiate Recruitment/Olympic Development Program, becoming a resident-triathlete at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. During this time, I raced as a professional triathlete while pursuing my passion for coaching.
In addition to my athletic accomplishments, I am also proud of my experience as a NCAA Division 1 Head Cross Country and Track coach. Leading the team through both triumphs and challenges, I fostered an environment of growth, discipline, and camaraderie. My coaching philosophy prioritizes a holistic approach, recognizing that success in sports extends beyond physical training.
As a mentor and motivator, I emphasized open communication and constructive feedback, nurturing a positive and supportive team culture. I encouraged a healthy balance between sports and academics, supporting athletes in their pursuit of excellence both on the track and in the classroom.
My coaching pedigree includes working with Innovative Endurance as an assistant coach, where I mentored beginners, age group, and collegiate triathletes. My experience as a NCAA Division 1 Head Coach has provided me with valuable insights into collegiate athletics, recruiting top talents, managing team dynamics, and navigating the competitive landscape.
With this diverse background, I am equipped with a wide range of skills and knowledge to create custom training plans for athletes of all ability levels looking to improve in swimming, biking, and running. Update/edit: After a few months of Coach Justin's guidance, I'm off to the military and feeling more confident than ever that I'll be able to pass and even excel at the run portion of the PFT. I just finished the Online Running Gait Analysis, and couldn't possibly be more excited about the progress made in under a week. Before hiring Coach Justin, I was worried my running requirements for an upcoming work opportunity were too far to reach in the time I have to prepare. After just a few days of his guidance, my run times are already improving, and I'm left feeling more motivated and optimistic than ever. He has an incredible eye for detail and was able to clearly point out several points of improvement, while also providing the exercises and support to immediately start addressing the issues. He responds incredibly fast to questions and concerns, is very accessible and communicative in his demeanor, and I'm really excited to continue working with him!

Justin is a fantastic coach, and I've made amazing progress just from my first session with him. He immediately identified multiple areas of my form to correct and gave me a lot of great dynamic warm up and cool down stretch routines to follow. I could literally tell the difference on the next run I went on. I went from having horrible shin pain after a short time running to none at all. He took multiple videos of me running and sent me them with his notes and they were extremely helpful in seeing the cues and changes he was mentioning at the session. Not to mention I can go back and reference them when needed. I highly recommend Justin and I'll definitely be booking more sessions with him very soon.
