More About Coach Juan
I have been coaching and developing young baseball players for many years, and my goal has always been to create a positive environment where kids can grow as athletes and as people. My background includes professional baseball experience with the Toronto Blue Jays organization, along with years of coaching travel baseball and player development programs. I currently work with athletes of different ages and skill levels through USA Prime Gwinnett County and private instruction. When I work with kids, I focus heavily on effort, attitude, discipline, and character. Every player learns differently, so I try to communicate in a way that helps each child feel comfortable, motivated, and supported. I believe coaching is about more than wins and losses. It is about teaching responsibility, building confidence, and helping players understand that hard work and consistency can help them succeed in baseball and in life.
Baseball has given me opportunities that changed my life, and that is one of the main reasons I enjoy working with young athletes today. Growing up in the Dominican Republic, I learned the value of perseverance and dedication through sports and everyday life experiences. I eventually played professional baseball and later became involved in coaching and player development. Over the last eight years, I have coached youth and high school players, helping them improve their skills while also teaching them leadership, accountability, and respect. I enjoy working with kids because I understand that every child needs encouragement, patience, and guidance to reach their potential. My coaching style combines structure, energy, and positive reinforcement. I make sure players stay active, focused, and motivated during training sessions while also creating a fun environment where they can enjoy learning the game. My goal is always to help kids grow in confidence, improve their abilities, and develop a strong work ethic.
I work with kids by understanding their individual skill level and helping them grow at their own pace. My goal is to make practices fun, positive, and competitive while teaching fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and a strong love for the game.
