More About Coach Joshua

-Taught personal/group boxing lessons for over 6 years with clients ranging in age from 7 years old into the late adulthood.
-Personal trainer for fitness goals including strength training, weightlifting, HIIT workouts, and nutrition guidance if desired.
-I accept clients for boxing fitness training or any of the above listed requests.
-I have traveled to clients' homes, trained out of gyms and local parks in order to accomodate clients.
-All fitness levels accepted, and beginners encouraged- I will accommodate any injuries, preferences, and comfort levels. I want you to get the most out of this experience!
-I am NASM certified and fully certified in CPR and first aid.

I competed in the sport of boxing for over 12 years with 13 professional boxing matches and 50 amateur boxing matches. I competed on national television on Fox Sports 1 and Showtime. I am passionate about teaching others the art and sport of boxing for personal fitness goals, self-defense reasons, and healthy stress release!

Since retiring from boxing, I have completed 1 marathon in 3hrs and 18mins and hope to compete again this year. I also have dreams of finishing an Ironman and ultramarathon in the near future. Fitness is my passion and I want to help you reach any goals you have, even if it is just to get started!

All session plans are personalized to each client depending on specific goals and fitness levels.

Beginner clients: I have a discussion with each client on goals. I start each workout with a dynamic warm-up and stretch and then move into the workout. If your goal is to gain strength, then I will teach you the basics of weightlifting and body weight exercises with an emphasis on proper form and technique. If this session is for boxing, then I start by teaching the basic techniques of boxing including shadow boxing, punching form, and proper technique, and I will incorporate mitts and the heavy bag into the workout.

Advanced clients: As my clients gain experience, I incorporate more advanced techniques, slowly increase weight into strength training, and increasing speed/agility for my boxing clients.

Joshua was great. From the first meeting I was able to learn some basic boxing punches. The class was super fun and addictive. Perfect. Set up at a local park, he brought everything he needed, was there waiting for me at the designated time. I'm out of shape, but have experience boxing from back in the day, so it didn't take long to get back into it. Hate jumping rope, and have a few old injuries that make training hard, so he had other options readily available. Good stuff, no brainer will be using again.

Being new to boxing, I wasn't sure what to expect. He gets you right into the vibe from the go, with good motivation. Very welcoming and relaxed environment to train. He pushes you to work hard but keeps you at a good pace. Bought more sessions right after my first, I'd definitely recommend him for newcomers like myself!
