More About Coach Josan
Being born into a family of Broadway performers, including 3 time Tony award winning dancer/choreographer Hinton Battle, my fate was pre-determined to a life as a dancer and choreographer. I've honed her skills over 29 years of studying dance, teaching and performing in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Maryland and Florida. She also gained extensive experience with her own dance company, "Xplosive Dance and Entertainment," touring throughout Germany and France and as a principal dancer with the Moore Dance Project's "Sacred Slave Stories" which is funded by United Arts of Central Florida and the National Endowment for the Arts.
"My childhood was spent watching dance classes, rehearsals, and world-renowned performers captivate audiences. I was amazed at what the human body was capable of." You will find my work featured in many American and European music videos, commercials, television series, theater and convention productions and movies. "Becoming a dance/fitness instructor and entertainer was a natural progression for me," Ms. Battle states. I utilize all of my experiences to create fun, dynamic original classes, choreography and shows that focus on the pure joy that comes from movement and bridging cultural divides.
A successful 20+ year career in dance, choreography, performance and training abroad and across the United States uniquely prepared me to create just the right program for each individual client.
Each individual client is assessed and a program is created to uniquely build upon their strengths and fortify their specific areas for growth.
