More About Coach Jon

I have coached basketball for the last 8 years in 11 different countries helping basketball players live their dream of being a professional basketball player. I played high school basketball at Hatboro-Horsham and college at Arcadia University. I was featured on ESPN Sportscenter. Learned strong fundamentals from Sam Rines, former AAU coach of Kobe Bryant and fine tuned my training skills working for Jameson basketball. My passion for the game is what drives me as a trainer. I want to see the players maximize there ability through detailed oriented teaching.

Played basketball at Hatboro-Horsham and College basketball at Arcadia University. I built my game from scratch under the tutelage of Sam Rines the former AAU coach of Kobe Bryant.

My training sessions focus on details of the the player that I am training. My method of training is perfection of each drill and how the drill can be implemented in the players game.

Most important thing for any active basketball player is having a strong basketball stance. A strong stance is having your feet wide, being low and explosive at al times. A good stance will allow the player to be on balance which is key to the players shooting accuracy, footwork, ball handling, and the ability to create space.

Increased shooting percentage starts with a good stance because the power comes from the legs, the next step is the elbow tucked in (shooting pocket) as the players hands are ready and the move their shooting hand straight up while simultaneously locking there elbow and holding their follow thru.

Meanwhile their eyes are focused on the middle of the rim as they let go their of there shot. Along with the stance for ballhanding, the players will practice game like drills that will increase court vision with the players head constantly up and eye hand coordination in order to see the floor. Ball handling drills will also work on quicker hands making it easier for the player to make from A to B on the floor.

The purpose of footwork is to increase space with pivots and jab step.

Coach Solomon is a shooting and footwork expert who emphasizes fundamentals and repetition to promote muscle memory. He is positive and encoraging with my eight year old but insists on constantly working toward correct form. I also appreciate that he is on time and true to his word. I Highly reccommend.

Coach Jon has help my 8 year old incredibly in just 3 sessions. He is very motivating and positive. He is patient and at the same time pushes him to the next level. Definitely lab to continue lessons.

Great lesson and great coach. My son learned a lot from Coach Jon and he provided great motivation and feedback throughout the lesson. We already booked a second lesson.

Loved this coach. Knowledgable and connects well with the kids. Knows his techniques, would recommend for sure and will be seeing him again.

The game of basketball builds strong character and if you come across a good coach like Jon Solomon, you’ve started down the path to personal enrichment and a self-fulling realization, that you can do just about anything, if you apply yourself.

Over the past 8 weeks of teaching my son the basic skills to play basketball, Coach Jon has demonstrated a “quiet” patience in working with this reluctant hoopster and I have seen a big improvement, not just in my son’s appreciation for the sport, but also in his willingness to take on new challenges.

Glad to have my son on your "Bench," Coach. Can’t wait to see him in the "Game."

Coach Jon is very patient with my son, teaching him basic basketball body mechanics, foot work, & dribbling. He has “the eye” for proper technique & is patient enough to repeat exercises until it’s correct. My son will definitely continue his training with coach Jon

A very good coach. He showed my son proper techniques, patient, and very encouraging.

Great Coach and very passionate about the game. More importantly for us is that he is very good with our son and shows a lot of patience and has a structured approach to training. Our son was very comfortable, engaged and I could see noticeable improvement even after the first session.

Coach Jon is a great coach, he immediately noticed the flaws in my sons shot and by the end of our session his shot had already improved tremendously. Will continue to train with him in the future because he really pushes my son to do his best everytime. Thanks coach

Jon was great with my daughter... patient and encouraging along the way. She felt she had learned a lot after just one session. We will certainly recommend Jon highly and we will be back seeking his expertise.

Jon brings a lot of passion, energy, positivity and expertise to his coaching sessions. He has great attention to detail and critiques mechanics and footwork so that every rep is of high quality. It wasn't long into our first session that I was hitting nothing but the bottom of the net on a large range of shots and I continue to do so using the fundamentals he taught me. I highly recommend jon!

Coach Jon did a remarkable job with my son in his first session, preparing for his first year of high school basketball. We started out with some of the fundamentals of the game, mostly shooting form and working out of the triple threat stance, which I learned is one of the basic fundamental skills of the game. He was patient and positive, but honest and motivating. My son felt great about the instruction he received and the one on one attention that he got. My son and I look forward to more sessions with Coach Jon, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve on their skills in the game of basketball.

Coach Jon is extremely patient and teaching all the fundamentals needed for a young player to grow. His coaching style is very impressive.

Amazing teacher, doesn't hesitate to discipline you but has fun with you at the same time.

Jon’s training helped my game tremendously from my sophomore year in high school. We spent an entire summer working on my jump shot and instantly I seen results, Jon is the reason I play college basketball now. This season I lead the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association conference in three-point percentage at 45%. Jordan Jon is a wonderful basketball trainer. His training methodology helped to elevate my son’s overall play and increase his shooting percentage tremendously. Through his superior basketball training methodology, he helped my son master the fundamentals of basketball which allowed him to become the 3rd overall leading scoring in his conference in high school and landed him a college scholarship.
Every year Jon improved his game as a basketball player. He constantly worked on the fundamentals of the game mastering each one of them. His passion and hard work supersedes any physical abilities that he lacked. He will be able to provide a solid service for your son or daughter based on his passion for the game and that he had to build his own game from scratch.
Jon's desire for basketball allows him to continually grow as a basketball trainer. His workouts are innovative and fundamentally sound Jon's players rubs off on the players that he trains
