More About Coach John
Football's been my love & personal journey since the age of 8. I've participated in every level from pee-wee league football to the NFL (Denver Broncos). A neck injury early in my collegiate days at Marshall University forced me to sit out for a year. I spent that year as a player coach with the team. In that experience, I learned nuances & technical sides of football. It taught me that coaching the game can be just as fun as actually playing. After my neck injury I transferred to Temple University. The technical skills I learned in that coaching period is what allowed me to ultimately make it to the Pros. Unfortunately, a torn Achilles ended my time in on the Broncos but I'm excited about this next Journey! My older brother Ashton also played in the NFL (7 years).
My senior year at Temple university I was selected to the then Second Team All Big-East Defensive Team, now AAC. Following my senior year I was invited & played in a college All Star Game- Texas Vs. The Nation where numerous scouts were present from all 32 NFL teams. I made it with the Denver Broncos as a undrafted free agent before going on Injured Reserved after tearing my Achilles. Altogether I spent two years with the organization.
In sessions with me clients can expect a full body & mind experience. I plan on sharing the mental aspect which I feel is the most important phase of sports. I overcame many obstacles in my career & those experience I believe taught me preventative wisdom that can help the youth. My clients can expect position specific organized workouts. I've played a wide array of position during my football tenure, so I have something to provide for all athletes.
