I have had the pleasure of knowing Coach Kuhne for the past ten years not only as trusted friend, confidant and football coach but also as an invaluable humanitarian, and a positive influence in the several communities that he has coached in. Over the years I have had the pleasure of having Coach Kuhne on my staff at my clinic, The Football Boot Camp, which teaches off season fundamentals to young people from 22 surrounding communities in the great game of football. Years back while I was the OC at Malden Catholic, Coach Kuhne was instrumental in helping us implement the Merrimack Offensive system which resulted in Malden Catholic scoring more points than it had in over 15 years. I’ve been coaching football on all levels from Youth to Semi-Pro for the past 35 years and I can honestly tell you that John looks at his career as helping this young person out of trouble and turning them around, or turning another player into a leader, or even watching players of his becoming coaches themselves.
