More About Coach John
I am the currently a Head Coach in the USPHL Premier and an Assistant Coach in the NCDC. My players in junior hockey range between 16-20 years old, as they play to prepare to move to the NCAA level. In addition, I conduct private skating and skill lessons 20 hours week with players that range from learn to play all the way to high-end junior and the collegiate level. Each lesson is designed to improve the player's individual deficiencies to enhance both physical and cognitive development . It is not a "one size fits all approach.
I competed at the NCAA level for Assumption University. I served as a two year captain, helping the program with a league championship. Prior to my collegiate career, I played two years of junior hockey in New England.
Each session is individually tailored to help the player progress what he or she needs most work on. No two lessons are identical; families can expect their son or daughter to progress in areas where they may not be as strong as their peers. Becoming a well rounded player is crucial in order to play at higher levels. Not only will each player have the tangible skills needed to succeed, he or she will be taught the why and the where. Players need to understand why they are developing a skill and when to apply it to a live game scenario.

John is a great coach! He’s helping my child build confidence with shooting and stick handling.
Jason (CoachUp client)
We have worked with Coach John for over a year both on and off ice. My son’s hockey skills have grown immensely as a result of John’s expertise and ability to connect the game of hockey mentally and physically. My son views Coach John as an older brother and looks forward to every session we attend. I would give Coach John 15 stars but I can only give 5; Coach John is excellent.
Matthew (CoachUp client)
My son loves working with coach John. Not only does he get good feedback, good technique, but John is a great role model when it comes to hard-work and focus at each lesson. Highly recommend John for your player.
