More About Coach Joe

I am USPTA certified Rated Pro 1 on Individual Lessons. I have coached two NCAA Division II tennis players and 7A high school tennis players. My coaching experience also includes coaching three to ten year olds using the Quick Start program at Burns Park and women at Windyke Country Club. Finally, I have coached sixteen tennis camps for elementary children and a 70 year old man.

I have won a match against Bryan Means (6-4,6-2) who is an NCAA Division II tennis player. I have won the Pleasant Valley Championships, River City Civitan Tournament, and Sickle Cell Anemia Tournament.

A typical session begins hitting the tennis balls nice and easy to avoid injuries. I pinpoint what the primary problem is and concentrate on correcting that problem. However, I also try to solve the secondary problems. My goal is to be patient and encouraging with a tennis player and produce a complete player giving advice on all aspects of the game. I give plenty of water breaks for my players.
