More About Coach Jim
I am a USATF Level 1 certified coach who has been coaching since 1995. I have coached all levels of runners from beginners to Olympic trials hopefuls.
I coached for one year with the Joints-in-Motion marathon training program for the Arthritis Foundation taking runners to Dublin, Ireland and New Orleans, LA. For eleven years I was the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track Coach at Cordova High School. I also coached the Buffalo Chips youth running club for five years. During those five years we achieved five national championship team titles, one individual national champion, and 52 athletes achieved All-American status. In 2004 I coached an athlete for the Olympic trials 800m womans masters exhibition race and am currently coaching individual runners.
I have been running most of my life, have raced most distances including the marathon and have traveled around the world running and racing. I've qualified for the Boston Marathon three times and have ran it twice.
