Jimmy has 25 years of coaching experience. Coaching fast-pitch softball ages 12 +. Jimmy is excellent with children, teenagers and young adults and relates to them with his humor and ability to teach them in a fun, engaging way. He is currently coaching 1 high school baseball and 14 fast pitch softball players.

Jimmy has experience in pitching and all infield. As a junior, Alder once registered 27 strikeouts in a 11-inning win over Sullivan North. He threw 127 pitches that night. He was the Bristol Herald Courier’s 1990 Northeast Tennessee player of the year as a senior after hitting .496 with 15 home runs and 51 RBIs.

In 1982, his team won the Little League World Series in Rockford, Illinois.

My 12 yo daughter has been taking hitting lessons from Coach Jimmy for a few weeks now. She really enjoys the lessons. She is learning a lot and steadily improving her mechanics.

He has a wealth of knowledge and is great working with the kids. We will definitely continue lessons with him and would highly recommend him for anyone looking for lessons.

My 12 yr old daughter has had 3 softball sessions with Coach Jimmy with 2 to go. He has really done an excellent job at pulling her into the game as a better player with a lot more skill and overall knowledge! His technique and ability to approach young athletes and connect to their level is undeniably beneficial to their game at any skill level. He is very knowledgeable as well as flexible. I would highly recommend him to any athlete that is committed to working hard towards excellence because that is what you would attain by choosing Coach Jimmy! Being as flexible as he is he would be a great choice for busy families as well.

Coach Jimmy was excellent! After one session, I could tell a big diff in my daughter's batting stance. I can't wait to see what else he has in store for her. Bring on the season!!! I would def recommend him to anyone looking to get better!!!
