More About Coach Jillian
I began my coaching career as an undergraduate intern at the University of Rhode Island, where I assisted Division 1 strength and conditioning coaches in training athletes across a variety of sports, including football, soccer, baseball, golf, swim/dive, and basketball. Since then, I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition along with obtaining my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
I now currently work as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Bando Performance in Worcester, Massachusetts, working with athletes across a wide range of age groups, from elementary through high school. I also have some experience working with the Worcester Junior Railers and the Boston Junior Rangers during their scheduled lift times.
As an athlete, I competed in soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse throughout high school, earning the role of captain in all three sports my junior and senior years. In 2022, my high school ice hockey team won the Massachusetts Division 2 State Championship, an accomplishment that helped pave the way for me into college hockey. I continued playing Ice hockey at the University of Rhode Island as a member of the Rams' ACHA Division 1 team, becoming the team president my senior year.
Whether you are an athlete or someone looking to improve your fitness, a typical session is tailored to your personal needs and goals. I focus on targeting and identifying areas for improvement, addressing muscular imbalances, and improving mobility. I emphasize building a strong foundation of strength through proper technique weight training and progressive overload. Once a foundation is built, I begin to incorporate explosive movements, power development, and sport specific drills to help athletes reach their performance potential. My goal is to ensure that every client achieves their fitness and performance goals.
