More About Coach Jeremy

I have been a volunteer coach at winnebago high school for three years. This year our boys team placed second in the state meet. I have also helped coach new runners trying to complete their first half- marathon.

I was a very successful high school athlete. I won my first team state title as a freshmen. As a sophomore I won my first individual cross country state title. My senior year I set and still hold the cross country and 3200 meter state records. After high school I went to the University of Illinois on a full scholarship. My personal bests are 4:08 mile, 8:56 3200 meter, and 14:28 5k.

The first session starts with finding out where you are as a runner and what you want to accomplish. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie trying to run your first 5 k to an veteran trying to make the Olympic trials, everyone needs a starting point. From there we would start to design a training program made just for you. A client would expect to run 4 to 7 days a week. The beautiful thing about running is that you can get a great work out almost anywhere. You do not always have to be on a track and some times that gets boring. I like to take people to different forest preserves to use the great trails in the area.

Client Reviews

Great first meeting. Jeremy is really knowledgable and I"m looking forward to working with him.

Coach Jeremy took the time to understand what our goals and expectations were prior to booking, and clearly presented his running and coaching philosophy - to make sure workouts for younger runners are fun and to leave them with a desire to want to do more. During their first run Jeremy made an effort to engage our son in conversation, get to know him, and and find common ground while talking about running. After the run Jeremy walked him through dynamic stretching to complete the workout. We are looking forward to seeing our son progress in his love of running while working with Jeremy.
