More About Coach Jen

I recently graduated from the University of Maryland and received my B.S in Kinesiology. I have been a personal trainer for over 4 years now, and have worked with clients between the ages of 14 and 70. I worked at Washington Sports Club and Fitness Together, where not only did I gain experience training, but I was also a nutritional coach. Full time, I worked in the health and wellness department of a government agency. In addition to being a personal trainer, I also have my Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification. I am now in graduate school and receiving my Master's in Health Promotion and Nutrition. I plan on pursuing a PhD in Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition when I graduate in Mary.

Growing up, I was a competitive soccer and lacrosse player. My love for sports sparked my fitness drive, and I love to work with all levels of clients to help them achieve their fitness goals.

I always begin my sessions with a quick dynamic warm-up to get the blood flowing to the muscles in order to ensure optimal movement patters. I always incorporate interval training into my sessions, being that it is one of the most effective methods for all types of training. I style my sessions in a strength-circuit format to keep the heart rate high and your muscles moving! Most importantly, I keep my training creative and fun, and I promise you, you will feel wonderful after our session is over. "Hate me now, love me later!" :)
