More About Coach Jeff
Certified Specialist Strength and Conditioning from ISSA.
3 years Strength, Speed, Agility,& Conditioning Conditioning at Chalkville High School Volleyball team.
5 years as a Coach in 1 on 1 in the weight room for several high school and college athletes in various sports.
5 years Personal Trainer at Tri-Star fitness
I played high school football at Gardendale High School and graduated in 1993. I started at linebacker and was ranked #3 in the state at my position. I started my college football career at Samford University in 93-94 as a defensive end and was a starter my freshman and sophomore season. I then transferred to UAB and earned the starting DE spot and finished in 1997. I then tried out with around 3000 college athletes for the Birmingham Steeldogs Arena team. I made the squad and was hired on to the 19 person roster. I started out playing DE and tight end but finished up playing Linebacker and running back. I was a starter in 2002 and 2003 before leaving the team. I have coached numerous high school and college athletes privately on the field and in the weight room. I focus on the individuals needs and concentrate the training on what needs to be accomplished by athlete. If it strength, we will concentrate more on weight room and speed and agility we can handle separately. I do a lot of agility ladders, hurdles, and cone drills depending on what we need to accomplish.
