More About Coach Jeff

I was a private and team basketball coach for ten years in Los Angeles. Excited to have just move back to my hometown of Atlanta. I have the skill level to work with advanced adult basketball players, but I have the kindness, joy, and patience to work with kids as young as Kindergarten.

I'm a former stand out point guard from Atlanta, Georgia. I'm the featured ball handler in Rick Torbett's Better Basketball: Better Ball Handling series. My ball handling ability/teaching is my biggest strength. I not only help my clients became better basketball players, but better well rounded athletes and young people as well.

I choose drills based on the athlete and what they need to work on. I never train two players exactly the same way. I want to make sure my players know what they do well naturally, so they can focus on their weapons--their strengths, when it comes to games. Each session is fun and competitive. If something isn't fun we generally fear it and eventually quit it. Basketball if no different. I want it to be one of your greatest joys in life.

Very engaging, very patient and incredibly talented!!!

Coach Jeff is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable basketball coach. After our first session, we signed our 10 year old son up for a package of ten immediately. We are looking forward to our future sessions!

After getting a sense of your capabilities and goals, Jeff will hone in on key areas and key moves that will help make you a more effective player. He provides constant feedback throughout the session and likes to do the drills with you. Overall, pleasant to train with - definitely recommended.

I have been a basketball junkie all my life and I bought and used the Better Basketball DVDs that Jeff starred in. I have always had a weak left hand, so when I saw Jeff's post, I KNEW I found the right guy. The session did not disappoint. Jeff really gave me some good moves, drills and things to think about when I play basketball.

I wish I knew about Jeff when I was younger because then I could have really taken my game to playing college ball or beyond. Again, my highest level of recommendation and I will be bringing my friends to do a group coaching session sometime soon.

Jeff was fantastic. Great athlete himself, motivated, friendly, smart. My boys loved him. Clearly loves his job and loves working with the kids. I have an 9 year old and a 11 year old and in one hour he had them balling. We booked more sessions that evening.

I'll be honest. As an adult, I had reservations about hiring a coach to improve my skills, but am so glad I booked a session with Jeff. He is an excellent teacher: informative, tactical, patient, and encouraging. Coach Jeff is truly awesome. Got my boys working hard but kept it fun. Great disposition. All three of them want to go back...that says it all!

My son is 9 and playing at a fairly high level for his age, but I was hoping to help focus some of his practice time towards more specific development as his team's point guard. Jeff was all I hoped for and more. He quickly assessed my son's skill level and how he could help him improve, while making the workout really fun at the same time. By using instruction mixed with mini competitions and rewards at the end, my son was fully engaged throughout. Jeff also incorporated a lot of fitness work throughout the session, making for a really good sweat. As soon as the session was over, my boy asked when he could work with Coach Jeff again.
