More About Coach Jay

I am currently the head varsity baseball coach at Bellevue High School. This will be my fourth year at the helm. We have won double digit games in every year. I love what I do and love having the opportunity to teach the greatest game of all on a daily basis. I work with players of all ages and can provide perspective as a former college player and now high school baseball coach.

As a four year starting pitcher at Olivet College, I won awards such as team MVP my sophomore season and Rookie of the Year my freshman season. Before reaching the college level, I played on several travel teams in the southwest Michigan and northwest Indiana area. I understand the importance of individual instruction and how it can help you achieve your dreams.

Warm-up - Dynamic stretching, conditioning & agility drills
Throwing/Pitching - Short-work sequence for pitchers, long toss, PFP's & technique drills
Fielding Drills - Specific to position
Hitting Drills - Mix of soft toss, live batting practice, situational hitting drills, technique drills and tee work

We will also work on mental approach, scenarios, and intangibles included in becoming a better baseball player.

Coach Jay did an amazing job working with my 10 year old son Hogan. He coached in a way that my son really understood what they were trying to accomplish.
