I have worked with multiple major league players in the coaching setting, I have worked with members of the Dodgers organization for 2 years and have also been involved in the Urban youth baseball academy run by the MLB. As a player I went from graduating high school with 0 scholarship offers to obtaining 30 offers out of junior college. I was able to turn myself into a relatively unknown baseball player to becoming one of the best talents in the Inland Empire during my playing days. At the height of my college career I was the NCAA player of the year in California and all of the West Coast and named the Division 2 player of the year in California. I understand what it takes to become an elite player no matter what level you start at. I take the time with each player to make sure they become the best player they can be.

I teach HLP (High Level Swing Pattern), Rotational Swing Pattern, Linear Swing Pattern and One handed release. What ever best fits the player.
A client can expect to begin with a warm-up and an evaluation. Once the evaluation process has been completed I will teach the player 5-8 drills during the first session that they can work on at home. I split the drills between upper and lower body drills. Once the player has a fundamentally sound swing we move on to more game like drills and situations. Hitting is both mental and physical and both components need to be addressed.

As far as the swing is concerned I teach a very easy system for players which involves extension with the upper body and rotation with the lower body. As a hitter we want to load and create a stretch with our body followed by a short on path swing and a high finish.

With the mental side, players need to look to hit the fastball and have more of a anticipating mindset rather then trying to react to every pitch.
