College Experience: Lincoln College (2003-2005). I was a walk on and played third base and designated hitter.
“No matter how good you are, you’re going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you’re going to win one-third of your games. It’s the other third that makes the difference.”
Tommy Lasorda
Sessions will consist continuing fundamental and mechanical improvement followed by workouts to increase and building in the areas of infield, outfield, hitting and base-running.
Hitting-When it comes to becoming a successful hitter, one must learn how to use the whole body in there swing. For the hitting training, we work on proper hands, hip turn and footwork to help hitters improve there skills. I also focus on the core area to help develop hitting power and various drills to strengthen the swing.
Infield: Developing the lower half such as footwork and developing soft hands and agility are just a few areas are the focus to developing young fielders. Infielders will drill in each stage of fielding before transitioning to live ground balls.
Outfield: Many ball players feel the outfield is easy as you just need to catch a baseball. Truth is there are many areas to train and focus on to play each area of the outfield successfully. When training in the outfield, players will train in improving footwork, tracking, agility, catching ability, and endurance.
Baserunning: Some ball players feel that base running is learned as you go. What a lot done understand is that there is an art to becoming a proper base running. In this area, we focus on footwork, agility training, running ability, learning how to take proper leads, sliding, etc. Base running when done right can when you baseball games.
Catcher: with this position, I like to focus on stance, arm strength, blocking technique, moving around the plate, arm accuracy as well as strength and explosive body workouts to help build your at this position.
Pitching: Your will work to learn the basic fundamentals and techniques it takes to build an accurate arm. We work on a flat surface to begin then transition to the mound when the mechanics and technique reach a certain learning point.
All first sessions are recorded so that clients can get a visualization of there current ability and to allow a proper workout plan to be created for client improvement to begin.
In my Athletic Highlights, there is a quote that I put in there. The last part of that quote states "It's the other third that makes a difference" How does the other third make a difference? You answer will define what steps you want to take to reach your goals.

Coach Jason is great. He has an eye for technique and the ability to package all the ins and outs of a swing for the athlete, he's a well-rounded coach. The only reason why we won't be back is the location, from Firestone was almost two hours to Arvada round trip.
Bernie (CoachUp client)
My grandson has never pitched before but after just two sessions with Coach Jason he is throwing strikes off the mound with confidence.
Stephen (CoachUp client)
Coach Jason was very attentive, and gave us a great starting regimen to get Preston comfortable with hitting drills. We were given a google doc with practice drills, and video of Preston’s first lesson for reference. We are absolutely considering ongoing sessions with our new coach.
