More About Coach Jase
I have 10+ years of experience training athletes, ranging from complete beginners to professionals. I’ve coached players at every level (youth, high school, college, and pro) focusing on offensive skill development, including elite shooting, scoring, and decision making. I’ve worked with athletes of all ages, typically from middle school through college, and pride myself on meeting each player where they’re at. Whether you're just starting out or chasing a pro career, my mindset is simple: It doesn’t matter where you are, it matters where you're trying to go. And no matter what your end goal is, I can help you get there.
I’ve been competing in basketball since I was young, and my journey through the game has shaped the trainer and coach I am today. I started playing middle school basketball (14U) for PTHSS (Parker Tarrant Home School Sports), where I was honored as a 2x All-State Tournament and 2x All-National Tournament player.
I then went on to play four years of varsity basketball in high school, two years at Southwest High School, followed by two years at Chisholm Trail High School. During that time, I was a:
- 2x First Team All-District player
- 2x Offensive MVP
- 2x Offensive Player of the Year
- 1x District Champion at Chisholm Trail
After high school, I played two years at the junior college level for the College of Alameda in the heart of the Bay Area. During my time there, I became the school's all-time leader in three-point shooting and still hold several records:
- College of Alameda record for 3-pointers in a game: 9
- College of Alameda record for 3-pointers in conference play: 50
- Bay Valley Conference leader in 3-pointers: 50
The program is currently led by NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton, and competing at that level gave me a deep understanding of what it takes to perform, train, and stay consistent.
All of my sessions are tailor-made for each specific athlete. Whether you're a guard looking to tighten your handle, a wing who needs to improve your shot creation, or a big working on your touch and footwork, I design every workout with your development in mind.
A typical session runs an hour or more, with a strong emphasis on offensive skill development. I offer elite shooting and scoring knowledge that delivers real, consistent results.
1. Check-In & Mental Prep (5–10 minutes)
We start with a quick check-in to understand how your body feels and where your mind’s at. This helps shape the intensity and focus of the session.
2. Basketball-Specific Warm-Up (10–15 minutes)
We get the body and mind ready with:
- Dynamic stretches and mobility drills
- Footwork and agility work
- Ball-handling warm-up to activate coordination and rhythm
Everything is basketball-specific and designed to carry directly into the skills we’re about to train.
3. Offensive Skill Development (30–40 minutes)
This is the heart of the session. We work at game speed with a focus on:
- Shooting mechanics (spot-up, off the dribble, off movement)
- Scoring from all three levels: finishing at the rim, midrange pull-ups, and deep range threes
- Shot creation, footwork, and change-of-pace moves
- Reading defenders and making smart decisions under pressure
Each drill is designed to translate directly to live game play—not just look good in a workout.
4. Game Situations & Decision-Making (10–15 minutes)
We simulate real in-game scenarios, including:
- Pick-and-roll reads
- Isolation and closeout situations
- Coming off screens, attacking off the catch
- One-on-one or guided defense to apply new skills under pressure
5. Cool Down & Reflection
We’ll wrap up with:
- Light movement, stretching, and breathing to wind down
- Optional feedback session or video breakdown to reinforce learning
My Focus
I don’t do generic workouts. Every session is built around your specific needs and long-term growth. My goal is to help you become a complete offensive player, someone who can score at will, make the right reads, and play with confidence at the next level.

David Markley – Southlake Carroll High School Head Boys Basketball Coach (former TCU basketball player) (Testimonial)
I have known Jase for 11 years and had the privilege of being his high school basketball coach. In my 18 years as a high school basketball coach, teacher, and educator, I have not come across another person with the drive, the will to succeed, and the determination to achieve his dreams more than Jase. Jase has spent thousands and thousands of hours into achieving his dreams and has sacrificed so much to get to this point in his basketball career. He is a tireless worker and extremely committed to his craft. He has made basketball a very high priority in his life, which can be seen with this relentless work ethic. Jase is very driven and will do what it takes on the court and off the court to be the best version of himself as a player and citizen of the community. He is very responsible, thorough, and dedicated person. Jase is a very trustworthy individual that has shown tremendous loyalty in the years that I have known him. I am very proud of the young man that Jase has grown to be and am very excited for his future. He has been a blessing in my life and I would not be where I am today if it was not for Jase Brock. He has made a great impact on my life and I am grateful for our relationship.
