More About Coach Jarret
I was an aau coach for 3 years with the NJ crusaders. I have coached 13u, 14u and 16u, with 5 championships and 8 championship appearances on my record. My friend and I just recently started our own basketball program, Student Body Attack, which I will also be the Head Coach for. SBA consists of one 7th grade team, featuring the #1 ranked 7th grader in the country, Sebastian Robinson, who has regularly trained with me for 4 years. I have been a trainer for 4 years with L.A.B development (Life and Basketball) training all ages from 5 year olds to 23 year olds. I conduct my training sessions at Bloomfield college along side of Gage Daye, former professional basketball player with experience in the NBA D League. I have also helped start two summer basketball camps, the Union High School basketball camp and the St.Marys High School basketball camp, where we focused on improving skill, basketball IQ and helping enforce a great work ethic.
Played 4 years of high school basketball at St Mary's of the assumption high school. Starting shooting guard, led the team in scoring my senior season. Played 2 years at dean college in Massachusetts before graduating with an associates degree and deciding to pursue my passion, training and coaching basketball.
Lots of skill work. Will start with ball handling for about 10 minutes. Will then transition into ball handling into finishes at the rim. Next will be ball handling into jump shots. Then we will work on different drills off of the catch. Lastly, we'll use the shooting gun and the vertimax. That's generally how a session will go with me. Will incorporate defense into some of the drills and also will incorporate pick and roll drills. Reading the defense in game situations is also something that I work on regularly.
