I am a youth baseball coach specializing in training players from age 8-16. I have managed and coached PONY All Star tournament teams as well as a club baseball team in the Redlands/Highland/Yucaipa areas. I offer fundamental based pitching and hitting lessons for youth players and am also capable of offering infield and outfield training.

As of April 2017, I am ranked as the #8 Coachup private baseball instructor in California.

Additionally, I am ranked as the #28 overall Coachup private baseball instructor in the United States.

Clients and parents can expect advanced mechanical instruction in an environment of efficiency and positive energy. Most everything I do is broken down into a few short simple steps. My style of instruction will enable parents to reinforce the skills that I teach, but also allows players the self awareness to begin diagnosing their own mechanical flaws. I believe advanced fundamentals and physical mechanics will allow any player to perform like an all star.

My approach: observe and record the player hit or pitch. Show the client the video in slow motion. Initially, I identify no more than three physical adjustments. I then demonstrate the mechanics I intend to instruct in an A-B-C, 1-2-3 format. There are many similarities between hitting and pitching body movements. I teach the first motion of a mechanic, the explosion mechanic and the finishing point of a mechanic with the idea that the player's brain will naturally transition between most mechanics; however, advanced instruction will take place subsequent to a player demonstrating basic mechanics. From that point forward, I will focus on one, no more than two mechanical adjustments during a session. I communicate what that adjustment is and ask the player to be mindful of the correction and communicate what we are working on with his team coach.

Skill specific drills and exercises generally take place after 3-5 private sessions.

Really good coach. Breaks it down into steps that an eight year old can understand. Doesn't let the kids slack off. Makes the best use of the time. We would highly recommend to parents who would like extra help for their kids.

Coach Jared is a great coach. He took the time to really understand my son's habits and gave him clear direction on how to improve. He affirms what he does well and correct behavior in a productive way. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does.

Coach Jared is great. He was able to pinpoint the mistakes my son was making in batting within one session. He knows the sport in depth and has an excellent personality for working with kids.

Coach Jared is a great coach, wish I would have found him a year ago. As a parent, we just want our children to feel confident and experience a little success. Last year my son hit 1 time the entire season, but after 2 sessions with Coach Jared he hit twice in his first game this season. Seeing his confidence build and his smile return, I can't thank Coach enough. If you are even just considering getting your son a little extra help (or a lot) don't hesitate!!

Let me start by saying that I don't come from a baseball family. I decided to sign up my 6 yr old for pony baseball. Obviously he wasn't good at first, but showed alot of determination and love for the game. So, I decide to look into some baseball training. Just went through google, and found the coachup website. I found Coach Jarred, and let me say he did not disappoint me. My son respects him and loves to come to practice. To be honest everyone thinks their kids are good and the best players etc. But when it comes from the parents of my son's team mates that says alot. I would recommend coach Jarred to anyone. I decided to use coach up for some summer workouts with my 9 yo son. I didn't know what to expect when I selected coach Jared. I was totally impressed with him from day one! My son immediately took to his patient approach and detailed explanations of each drill and the feedback with each swing or throw.
