More About Coach Jared

I am a beginning trainer in the scope of individual training. Throughout my various experiences in track and field I have trained, and mentored countless numbers of athletes on a collegiate and intermediate level. I am skilled to work with various age groups from age 13 and up.

In high-school I competed at Desoto High School in Desoto, Tx under June Villers and Mark Brady. I competed in cross country running varsity my freshman year contributing to the programs first district cross country championship in years. I graduated in the year 2012 and help bring the men's track and field program their first state championship in school history. Set records in the 1600 M Run and 4x800. After that I went on to compete at Texas State University on a Division-1 scholarship. A major stress fracture and uncontrollable events contributed to me not competing after my freshman year. Those experiences also helped me develop as a trainer. Although I did not compete I remained a member of the team, administered workouts, produced workouts, and observed one of the best coaching staffs in Texas.

We show up to work with positive thoughts and energy only. I am 24 years old and very knowledgeable in the art of running and in tune with factors of the outside world which can hinder an athletes performance. During our sessions we leave everything on the outside of the facility and pick it up once we leave. Training sessions will vary depending on a clients skill set. I've been around countless athletes so i can adapt and create sessions that will benefit each. Every day and every athlete is different. Generally, we will focus on conditioning no matter if the athlete is a sprinter or miler conditioning is the focal point of clocking those fast times. After warm up - we get into our workout. Some days will be volume days meaning more distance. Some days will be tempo days meaning less distance but higher intensity. Other days will be focused on the athletes needs. As I know from being an athlete myself we all have weak areas and discomfort in certain situations. Finally, there will be assessment days where we will track our progression. These days will be at race pace and will be a designed event relating to the specific client events.
