I have experience coaching youth, collegiate, and professional players. I founded McGhee Soccer Academy (IG @mcgheesocceracademy) and specialize in creating tailored training programs that address individual challenges, enhance strengths, and help players achieve their goals. I also offer group sessions and drop-in training to provide diverse development opportunities.
Played professionally for California United Strikers (NISA) for 2 years.
Played at Colorado Mesa University (D2) for 4 years, starting and making the NCAA tournament all 4 years. Was named a 2nd Team All American and Academic All American my senior year.
Grew up in Gilbert, AZ and played for Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club for 8 years and won 2 State Championships.
Each session is designed to emulate a professional training environment, with a focus on the unique needs and goals of each individual. The first session is a dicsounted evaluation session, priced at $30. During this session, we discuss the client’s goals, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and identify areas for growth. At the conclusion of the evaluation, we collaborate to create a tailored game plan designed to address their specific needs and help them achieve their goals.
This game plan includes a customized package of training sessions—offered individually or in small groups—with options for video analysis, mobility and stretching exercises, mindset and visualization practices, and personalized homework assignments. Every aspect of the plan is designed to enhance technical ability, build confidence, and empower players to succeed both individually and within their teams.

James is great! He is patient, encouraging and makes technical training fun for my son. It's obvious he takes the time to establish a training plan and really maximizes that hour they have together.
