1.  Focus on training game speed.
2.  Mastering the basics.
3.  Ball handling, shooting, defensive techniques and reading the game.

We will warm up finishing at the rim with your left and right hand. Most kids have a difficult time finishing at the rim with both hands. Then we add a few more ways to finish at the rim. As the kids get warm up, we will stretch and get a quick drink. We then go right into foot work and spend about 15-20 minutes working on quickness and acceleration. Working on your footwork is a vital part in developing a good basketball player. As we get done with footwork, we go right into ball handling. Ball handling is very important, whoever controls the ball controls the game. Ball handling is harder to develop then becoming a good shooter. By my experience shooting is a lot easier to develop, ball handling take time and effort. We end the training with shooting drills and working your mechanics. Some days I start the with ball handling then shooting.

Client Reviews

It has been great working with Coach Jameel. He works the kids hard and is very encouraging. He really works through all aspects of basketball fitness and technique: shooting, ball handling, footwork, stamina, etc. I would definitely recommend Jameel to anyone looking to improve their game!

My husband and I were very impressed with Coach Jameel. He’s a God sent!! We’ve spent a long time searching for great coach who looks beyond just coaching a player the game and give life lessons.

My son started training with Coach Jameel today and he loves it! Jameel is very friendly and my son felt comfortable with him immediately. He is also very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about my son’s progress and growth. We are extremely pleased!!!

My son said he learned a lot already in the first session. He takes basketball very seriously and wants to do whatever it takes to get better. We have already booked a second session.
