More About Coach Jahvari
I have nearly a decade of experience as a professional basketball player, during which I have trained, mentored, and helped develop athletes in individual, small-group, team, camp, and professional settings. I have worked with players at the youth, middle school, high school, college, and professional levels. My experience includes basketball camps, summer workouts, private training sessions, community programs, and helping younger or aspiring professional players prepare for tryouts, seasons, and overseas opportunities. I typically work with children, teenagers, college-aged athletes, and adults, adjusting each session to the athlete’s age, experience, position, and goals. My training focuses on fundamentals, ball handling, shooting, footwork, finishing, conditioning, decision-making, confidence, and basketball IQ. I do not currently hold a formal coaching or personal-training certification.
I competed at both the collegiate and professional levels. In college, I earned Second Team All-American honors, helped my team finish with a 36–4 record that tied the school record, and won collegiate, district, and regional championships. Professionally, I have played for nearly a decade in competitive leagues throughout Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Uruguay. In 2019, I was drafted by the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League. During my professional career, I have earned All-Star recognition, received Most Improved Player of the Year honors, and been viewed as a franchise-level player and team leader. These experiences allowed me to compete against high-level athletes, learn from experienced coaches, and develop a strong understanding of preparation, discipline, leadership, and player development. I now use that experience to help younger athletes improve their skills, confidence, basketball IQ, and ability to perform in competitive situations.
Clients can expect a structured, high-energy session tailored to their age, position, skill level, and goals. I begin with dynamic stretching, mobility, and basketball-specific movement to prepare the body. We then work on ball handling, footwork, balance, change of pace, and control with both hands. The main portion includes shooting mechanics, finishing through contact, pull-ups, catch-and-shoot repetitions, moves off the dribble, defensive movement, and position-specific situations. I emphasize performing each drill at game speed while explaining when and why a player would use the skill during competition. As the session progresses, I add pressure, decision-making, time limits, and conditioning. We finish with competitive drills, free throws, and a brief review. Each athlete receives clear feedback on strengths, areas for improvement, and what to practice before the next session.

Arnold Fripp jr. (Testimonial)
Jahvari brings professional-level experience, attention to detail, and positive energy to every workout. He understands how to break down the game and teach skills in a way that players can apply during real competition. He is patient, encouraging, and holds athletes accountable while helping them build confidence, improve their basketball IQ, and develop strong habits. His experience playing at the collegiate, NBA G League, and international levels gives him valuable knowledge that athletes can learn from both on and off the court. I would highly recommend Jahvari to any player who is serious about improving and willing to work.
