I have coaching experience ranging from learn-to-play programs through the high school level, including small junior development groups. I’ve also coached select teams with Roc City Elite, working with more competitive athletes in a team setting. My background includes serving as a Learn to Skate Instructor with Campbell County Parks and Recreation, as well as a Youth Coach with the Gillette Hockey Association and the 95 Giants. In addition, I’ve spent several summers working with Future Pro, providing both one-on-one training and small group sessions for athletes of various ages and skill levels. This has given me experience tailoring instruction to individual needs while also managing group dynamics. I’ve worked with a wide range of age groups, from young beginners just starting out to more advanced high school athletes preparing for competitive play.

I competed at the junior level with the Northeast Generals in the NAHL, where I served as an Assistant Captain. During my time there, I was honored with the Richard “Harvey” Jackson Man of the Year Award. Prior to juniors, I played AAA hockey for Fox Motors and Little Caesars, competing at a high level against top national talent. I also played varsity hockey at Forest Hills Northern, where our team won a Conference Championship and a Regional Championship, and advanced to the State Final Four.
I went on to compete collegiately at the University of Massachusetts, where I was part of a Codfish Bowl Championship team.

Clients can expect a high-energy, detail-oriented session that’s tailored to their individual needs. I pay very close attention to each athlete’s strengths and weaknesses, and build sessions that target the specific areas that will have the biggest impact on their development. A typical session starts with a warm-up focused on fun, smooth skating mechanics, emphasizing stride efficiency, flow, and body positioning. From there, I incorporate puck control and skill development drills that focus on proper technique, deception, and maintaining control under pressure. I design drills to help athletes slow the game down mentally and really absorb the small but important details, such as stick positioning, weight transfer, and timing. As the session progresses, I increase the pace and add game-like scenarios that translate those skills into real situations, including small-area games, and situational drills.
