More About Coach Jack
I have worked at youth camps for years throughout my time playing at West Virginia University and Kent State University. This fall I just started giving lessons to ages 12-16. I am looking forward to growing as a coach and continuing to teach the game that has given so much to me.
I am currently a right handed pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays. I was just signed this past year out of West Virginia University where I was all big 12 and all region. Prior to WVU I pitched at Kent State University.
For the first session, if in person, we will do a dynamic warmup, and play catch. Then once the players arm is loose he will get on the mound and throw 10 or so fastball to me. The pitches will be filmed and we will go through a mechanical breakdown. The results of that will be incorporated into the next sessions going forward.
