More About Coach Isaac
I have a solid experience training athletes I myself was trained pro skills trainer Mike Allen former Gunderson Highschool coach and worked with Raymond Townsend former UCLA bruins as well my brother Donovan Plunkett a D2 and Overseas Pro. I’ve trained kids from 6 years old all the way to highschool started with my nephew on his youth teams coaching and training and now I assist when I can with San Jose Highschool Varisty and train some of the kids. Right now I’m training my clients son he’s 10 and will start training my coworkers 13 year old soon I don’t have a typical age range I train I would be open to any age group I enjoy teaching kids my knowledge of the game and seeing their skills improve. Right now I don’t have any industry certifications but can definitely work on getting some
I’ve played basketball my whole life from 2nd grade until current won a lot of tournaments in my youth. Starting with highschool I tho I was Butte View League MVP playin for Las Plumas Highschool my senior year averaged 22.7ppg and was invited to the Paul Bryant Northern Section All Star Game and started. Went on to play at Butte College and San Jose City College before quitting the sport for a short stint to focus on my barber career. I recently began playing seriously again and play for San Jose’s local professional team formerly known as the San Jose Panthers now rebranded to the Wolfpack we are currently in season and this is my 2nd season with the squad.
A clients could expect a lot of passion out of me I love the game and treat it as such. I feel like all kids regardless of size should learn the fundamentals ball handling and shooting and decision making offensively and defensively. Conditioning is super important to compete at high level at any age group a workout would start with light stretching typically, would work our way into ball handling and shooting and then based off the players skill level would focus on adding combos and counters to moves or would stick to perfecting a weakness in individual sessions, would work on defensive must do’s keeping hands high, staying in a stance and sliding your feet, sessions would end with a light cardio session that I could do with the client I think on thing that goes overlooked as trainer is kids also see you as a motivator and if you can go out there and show the kid and the drills etc with them you’re not only showing them how to do it instead of just telling them but it can add extra motivation seeing you do knowing that it’s possible.
