"I was a multi-sport athlete in high school most notably a three year letter winner in basketball. As a playmaker point guard, I helped advance my team to the state playoffs during my junior and senior years. I enjoyed an over 40 year basketball officiating career affiliated with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) as a high school official and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA and IAABO) as a collegiate official. I have coached various girls and boys AAU teams in national tournaments and have helped advance various players to collegiate basketball careers at the Division I, II, and III levels. I served as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach at the high school level and was responsible for scouting and player development. My approach and training program is tailored to the individual (age, skill sets, learning ability, etc.) to help them achieve their desired level of improvement. I can teach all facets of the game at every position.

- Observe, evaluate, and coach the player during the player's practice session
- Use continued positive reinforcement during the player's practice session
- Review results of the session and progress with the player
- End by explaining expected practice regimen and preparation for next session

My son had a great first session with Coach Guy. Coach was able to quickly assess his strengths and weaknesses, and come up with a training plan for him. Coach Guy was super to work with, my son and I were both very comfortable with him. He was very good at explaining his suggestions, and my son saw improvement after the first session. We traveled from OH to NC and found Mr. Guy Catalino, thru the CoachUp website. My daughter had THREE (1) hour outdoor sessions with Mr. Catalino. Upon my advice, he implemented a regime for my daughter to work-on, with his instruction and experience with basketball. Mr. Catalino is a very thorough coach; from explaining the workouts, executing his expectations to the follow thru on a daily summary. I would strongly recommend Mr. Catalino if you are looking for that extra 'boost' when your away from your hometown!! We will look to obtain his services, when we return to NC, next year.
