More About Coach Gralan
I have experience in coaching youth, high school, college and senior level athletes. I have worked at Indiana Tech University where I helped start the program in 2011. I have coached two world teams at the Pan Am games U15 & U17 where we won both freestyle and greco championships in 2021 & 2022.
My highlights as an youth wrestler would be a 3X Indiana High School medalist placing 4th, 2nd and 1st. I was a top 20 recruit coming out high school where I was HS All-American placing 7th at Senior Nationals in 2003. I earned a scholarship to Northern Illinois University and started as a true freshman. I have competed on the senior level and was training for the Olympics before Covid. I am a veteran world bronze medalist in 2019.
My clients can expect to set SMART goals that will drive our sessions. The drills and techniques to accomplish those goals will come from an evaluation of the athlete. The typical session could look like: Warm up, drill specific techniques or on other areas of their wrestling, technique/skill of the day, apply the technique through many ways of application, live situations with the technique to see their level of mastery.
