More About Coach Gareth

As far as coaching is concerned I've coached in a summer camp for young teens. It was very rewarding as I found out that after the first week or so of camp, the kids got really organized with their warm up and drills and were more ready for their workouts.. They all improved in some kind of way whether it was with their running style, speed or endurance. I currently still run and this is something I absolutely love doing and would love to pass this on to clients.. Running can be a lot of fun especially if you feel like your making the necessary improvements. Every session with me will involve something different so will not get boring ...I've also coached in a more boot camp style setting where most of the clients were eager to lose a little weight. This experience was also good as clients did testify to dropping some pounds.

I've been running since I was fifteen and I pretty much know all the fundamentals of being a great runner. I actually received a track scholarship and ran at South Western Christian College in Texas and George Mason University in Virginia where I was a pretty good half miler. I was the divisional champion in 2002 at 800 m. Individually my running career went pretty well. I'm a sub 1:48 half miler and a sub 4:10 miler. I've also run sub 16 min for a 5k and sub 32 min for a 10k.

A typical one on one session for me would entail asking the client first and foremost what his/her goals were. After that working out a reasonable schedule to best achieve those goals then figuring the best venue to meet. A typical work out would start off with a warm up run then drills and then we would go from there.. It would be based on the level of the fitness that the client is currently at, then we would work our way up..

Five stars without question. Peters is a great coach. He is patient and kind, but he also wants you to accomplish your goals so he will push you to give your best. He has clearly put in the work himself to become an elite athlete, so he understands exactly what it takes to accomplish small and big goals. You will be hard pressed to find someone as knowledgeable, professional and also just as easy to get along with as he is.

Looking forward to my next session!

Coach Gareth was very professional and patient.
He is all business!
My daughter is looking forward to her next session.
Thank you Coach!

Gareth is patient, kind, and knowledgeable. My headstrong 11 year old daughter enjoys the sessions and can't wait for the next one. He's GREAT with kids and I highly recommend him.

Gareth is really really great at what he does! In the beginning I thought I would just be running but my first session had other components built into it to help me overall. I could barely run a tenth of a mile without stopping and always had to use my asthma inhaler during my sessions. A couple months later, I just completed a full mile in 10:41, I ran the entire time (which is a miracle for me) an NO inhaler needed anymore. Whatever level you want to be at, if you put in the effort he won't let you give up! Can't wait to see what I'll accomplish next with Gareth.

My daughter recently had her first training session with Gareth and she loved it. She was shown a variety of skills and techniques that she was never taught before. She was taught stride length skills, breathing skills, core training as well as distance running and sprinting. She can’t wait to go back to him! By the way, he runs with her which most trainers don’t.

Thank you Gareth.

What a great training experience! Gareth is a personable coach that has interacted so well with our eleven year old. We signed up for training sessions because our son really wanted to improve his speed and endurance in order to be more competitive in soccer. We have seen a big improvement after just two sessions. I highly recommend this coach!

He was excellent....very inspiring and motivating to reach my potential.

One thing I can say is that if you want someone to help you with stamina this is your guy. He knows pace to the core and he will push you to the next level. There's no quitting for him so if you are willing to work he will meet you half way definitely. He believes in hard work and good rest at the same time. Will not burn you out. Knows how to get results...
All I can say is he got me into shape really quickly..... I am in the nursing core and it is required of us to be able to run at least fifteen and a half minutes for a mile to maintain our position. At the time when I told Coach Gareth about it I was struggling to run 17 min. He told me exactly what to do and how to go about. We started working out together and after a month or so he told that he was ready for me to do a time trial. I thought he was joking but he ran with me and timed my mile. Then asked what time I thought I did and I said it felt like 16 min...He then showed me his watch and it was just over 14 min.. What can I say..😊
I've worked with Peters as a coach and he is such a hard worker. Not afraid of pain since without this there's no gain. He grasps routine and workouts very well and he is a very fine athlete. Easy to get along with and just a very down to earth guy. Coached with him at summer camps and he was awesome with kids. They took to his lesson plans for them very well and had a rewarding summer when all was said and done. Def would recommend to coach anyone who needed the help..
I've worked with him before and have learned a lot. Very good at technique and pointing out small things that could transform you into a much better runner. He's competitive so he will push you to do your best especially on that "last run/rep." This is someone I would def recommend to push you to the next level. Also very personable so no problems with sharing ideas and concerns....
