More About Coach Frank

I have been involved with track and field for over 20 years, having coached every event except pole vault. I enjoy working with all levels of ability and all ages. I consider myself to be a great teacher and an even greater motivator. My teaching philosophy is athlete centered/science based. In the last 2 years I have completed and received certification from USATF and USTFCCCA, and I am still learning and growing in my sport.I have had the privilege and honor of attending seminars taught by coaching greats and Olympic stars such as Irving "Boo" Schexnayder,Brooks Johnson, Clyde Hart, Art Vanegas ,Dennis Mitchell and Jon Drummond. Client Reviews

Frank was by far the best coach I ever had. The reason I became so devoted to track was because of him. He made me excited to go to practice every day because I was eager to make improvements and get better. The jumpers and the sprinters (frank coached us) were the only ones in the weight room during the season. It really helped me become a stronger jumper and runner, and am thankful for those days in the weight room that others on the team did not have. So much attention was paid to my jumping technique, as well as others. Frank really made each athlete stand out in their own way and gave me motivational talks during each practice which gave me the mind set that I could achieve my goals. I am so thankful that I had him as a coach and he definitely made my experience on the team great
Frank Bacon coached our daughter at Marquette High School, he was well liked by all the athletes he knew .He encouraged them to go to college and continue with their track career after high school. He had a special way of making every athlete feel important and was a strong motivator for my daughter. He was the best coach my daughter ever had and we saw improvements in her jumps from meet to meet. I strongly feel that he has an amazing ability to coach and make an impact on any athletes career
Hi coach! I'm excited for you and your new venture. Way to go and get what you want to do! I'd love to write an endorsement, digging up my memories from 15+ years ago . ... My senior year of high school was a pivotal time for me to step up my track & field game and log in some good meets, training and personal record times in the 100, 200, 400 and relays. Coach Bacon not only created a great training regimen for our all-girls high school track team, but encouraged me and supported my endeavors to eventually become a D1 track athlete at Missouri State University. The 'pep-talks' and confidence he placed in me and my co-athletes will always be remembered. My parents also were very happy with his coaching abilities and leading me to become not only a strong runner but a confident young-woman, which I still carry to this day in my adult-life accomplishments with running and otherwise!
Coach Bacon, is one of the most talented coach's I've meet. He is able to see a person's potential and take them to the next level. He has a excellent understanding of the world of track and field, and his passion is just as strong. He is also a great mentor and really wants his runners to succeed in every part of life.
Testimonial for Coach Bacon During my junior year of high school, I decided to join the Marquette High school track Team. My father ran track in high school, and I decided to try a new sport. Although I originally started out as a long distance runner, Coach Bacon saw me at practice and suggested I try sprinting. He started by introducing me to the other members of the track team, and made me feel like I belonged there even though it was my first year running. He treated us like his family, and he encouraged us to push ourselves and each other in healthy ways. He taught me how properly sprint through example and effective coaching by showing me videos of famous sprinters. He divided our practices between conditioning and strength training, and after each practice I felt like I had accomplished something. He is a great instructor, he because of him I have come to love track and field. Although I do not compete in college, I learned life skills from Coach Bacon, such as time management, dedication, and the ability to be a leader in a team setting.
As a former athlete of Mr. Bacon, I found his approach to coaching to be highly personable and tailored to my specific needs as a young and developing athlete. Because of his dedication and attention to detail, I found myself fully prepared to compete in both a physical and mental capacity whenever the time to compete arrived. Not only did he serve as a track coach, but also as a mentor and guide to me as an adolescent youth. I witnessed his dedication to serving several students and athletes, both on and off of the track. There is no question that the experience gained from him as a leader and the confidence that he instilled in me on the track has contributed to my overall discipline, work ethic and confidence in the real world. . ... . . . .
Mr. Bacon was a phenomenal track and field coach. He not only coached me on the events I was interested in but also encouraged me to explore the events in which he somehow knew I had a natural ability. He was always fair and encouraging, yet has the patience and skill to challenge stubborn young minds. He was and is a great coach to have in your corner.
' Coach Bacon is great mentor with excellent knowledge base in athleticism, he provides current examples of professional athletes, assuring the budding athlete that mastery is possible regardless of economic background, ethnicity, and those factors that take so many potential athletes out of the game, mentally. Basically, he encourages trainees to never give up!'
Thinking back on the years I did Track and Field, Coach Bacon is still one of the first people that comes to mind. He is very supportive, encouraging, relaxed, and serious about the sport and performance of each athlete. His practices and drills had purpose and reason: making you and the team stronger, faster, and better athletes. I was not one of the best athletes on the team, but Coach Bacon still constently encouraged and reinforced that he believed in me. He tries to instill in his athletes that you have to believe in yourself on and off the track in order to keep getting better. He is the type of coach that makes you want to go to and give 100% at practice.
Someone that is truly an inspiration to anyone he speaks to. Ask anyone who knows him and they will say he simply is the best every time. I am the person i am today partly because of this man. Couldnt ask for a better coach and role model.
Awesome coach and mentor to our grandson. Hes the best.
I can definitely give a personal testimonial. Coach Bacon worked with my daughter, Danielle who ended up in just about every event including the javelin, long jump, discus, shot put and my son in relays and long distance. But he was not only a really great coach but a mentor and a friend. He took Danielle's abilities to the Junior Olympics in New Orleans, La!!!! Could not ask for any more from a coach. In fact - I think I want to ask him to work with 1 of my grandkids!!!
As my track coach, Frank Bacon instilled in me to believe through hard work, dedication and a willingness to succeed, I could do anything. At that time, the pressures of being liked and accepted were daily struggles for me and caused my self-confidence to nosedive. Mr. Bacon worked with me in a structured and consistent manner that allowed me to prepare, set and meet personal as well as team goals. His support and encouragement during those years have had a massive impact on the woman I am today. I couldn't have been in a better place at a better time to have come under his training and guidance. I am eternally grateful to him.
