More About Coach Evan
I have been training and coaching basketball for over a decade, working with athletes ranging from NBA All-Starts to 4-year old beginners. My experience includes serving as the Head Coach at a university and establishing the EG3 Basketball Academy, which provides international training for kids aged 5 to 18 years old with a focus on securing college scholarships. Additionally, I coach the Bahamas Men's National Team.
Certifications:
USA Gold Certified
FIBA Coach Certified
Safe Sport Certified
NBPA Licensed Agent
I was a four-year starter at the Division 1 level, playing in the Big Ten at Indiana University, Pac-12 at Arizona State University, and Big South at Liberty. I received numerous accolades, including, all-conference honors, Freshman of the Year, and accumulated over 1000 points during my college career. Additionally, I played professionally for years in China, and received MVP honors, and All-Star team awards.
I conduct intense, systemic training sessions that combine competitive play, skill development, and game situational reads with strength and conditioning. These sessions, lasting 60-90 minutes, are tailored to each student's level and focus on individual weaknesses. The typical structure includes:
1. Warm-up and stretching
2. Balance, hand-eye coordination, reaction, balance, and agility training
3. Fundamentals: ball handling, shooting, passing, and defense
4. Specific skill development (e.g., shot technique, finishes at the rim, game concepts)
5. Applying skills in competitive game situations

Client Reviews
Stephen (CoachUp client)
Coach Evan is a very knowledgeable coach. I went to his tryouts this morning and they were very eye-opening. There were a lot of good routines and techniques that us players learned. He pushed us at a fast pace to get us game-level ready. He was very kind and considerate and answered our questions while making sure we were applying ourselves. Coach Evan did a good job in giving us each individual feedback and instruction when we needed it even though we were all working in a group setting. I look forward to working with Coach Evan more and highly recommend his programs!
